Luxury Garden Dining Room, Bedfordshire
There are few things more reminiscent of foreign holidays than summer evenings dining with friends al fresco – enjoying the warm weather.
Sadly, the British weather doesn’t always allow such a luxury and in lieu of grey rainy days and cold dark evenings, why not be inspired by this stylish garden dining room created as a safe haven for all-year-round outdoor dining and entertainment. The location for this dedicated luxurious dining space is a beautiful country house on a large plot in the Bedfordshire countryside.

The perfect garden entertainment area
Our client wanted an extra dining space constructed within the boundaries of their well-stocked spacious landscaped garden – to entertain family and friends, without the risk of the weather spoiling the occasion.
In the summer, the bi-fold doors merge the lines between the outdoor garden and the indoor dining room – its sliding glass doors can swing open and be pushed right back to create an outdoor dining space in the garden, whilst still being undercover.
With an outdoor kitchen area already in place, this indoor entertainment area is complete and fully equipped to create a unique area for dinner parties, family enjoyment and a unique space for inviting the neighbours over. This garden space offers an ‘under cover’ area where guests can relax over drinks while enjoying the views of the garden and dining in complete luxury.

A garden room that merges the lines to the garden
The client worked for an interior office design company, based in London, and therefore, had a very clear vision as to how they wanted the garden room to look. They also wanted to make sure they could seat a large number of people – therefore the dining table takes centre stage, allowing guests to squash up to add extra places.
By daylight, the garden room is tucked away in a quiet and cosy area of the garden nestled amongst the plants and flower borders. But by night, it transforms – lit-up by interior and exterior garden lighting – shining through the garden foliage like a beacon – welcoming its visitors!
This has the dual benefits of extending the space in the dining area into the garden to allow for al fresco dining whenever the sun shines and of course, when not! But additionally, the bi-fold sliding glass doors ensure the full view is not interrupted. It is literally a pride of place in the garden for family and friends to eat and dance the night away.
Fixtures and fitting to create an idyllic garden retreat
The client was really happy with the end result and we were lucky enough to receive these fantastic shots of the building in its full glory.
After additional landscaping was completed to fit around the new dining room the result has made this space a perfect transitional area between indoors and out.
