Black Stained Skylight Garden Room
Lots of natural light and built-in storage to replace the shed.

This glorious garden room was built for our client in Hassocks, just outside Brighton.
The client really wanted a light and airy feel to their garden room and due to the extra height of the build, the team at Vivid Green helped them to gain the planning permission required.
The garden room’s general use is an additional space to relax in, with a secret built-in storage area to house their garden tools, as these clients are very keen gardeners – and therefore needed a replacement shed!

As high as possible!
Our clients had a bright, light and ‘roomy’ design in mind and due to the height required to cater for the skylights on both sides of the gable-style roof and large windows, the team had to apply for planning permission.
This is something that we’re more than happy to help with, although most of our builds do not require planning permission. Permitted development rights allow you to perform certain types of work without needing to apply for planning permission – however, an extended height building within 2m of your boundary will require planning permission, and our experienced team are more than happy to organise this for you.
In this case, we think you’ll agree – it was well worth it!
Space to relax after a busy day gardening!
The completed design looks stunning in the thriving garden and now offers extra space for our clients to relax in, and store away their tools, gardening equipment, and furniture safely – as well as a modern and welcome space to entertain friends and family in.
