Garden Pool Studio
In Chislehurst, Kent, we constructed this large bespoke garden pool studio – providing convenience with top-spec changing and shower facilities, as well as an office and storage space for our busy clients.
A garden room pool house is a great addition to compliment any garden with its own swimming pool. Not only does a bespoke garden room enhance the use of your pool and supply a warm place to change – It also enhances your garden by providing shade and comfort in those long hot and, sometimes temperate, summer days.
Vivid Green’s brief was to supply a multi-use pool-side garden studio, comprising an office, pool changing room with shower and toilet facilities, as well as, a place for the pool plant. Waste and water supplies were trenched from the main house with the shower suite with the hot water being supplied to this by the built-in pool boiler.
The clients had a clear idea of what they wanted and therefore, used their own architect fir, allowing them to have direct input into the design of this stylish, spacious contemporary pool-side building. With the added expertise of Vivid Green’s experienced design team, we made sure the end result fulfilled the client’s wish list.

Making a splash
As is often the case, Vivid Green worked alongside pool plant contractors to deliver this project. The studio’s internal floor had to be set at the same height as the adjoining paved area just adjacent to the pool. This required digging down 500mm to allow for a 330mm concrete base to be set.
The bathroom/shower suite was sourced by the client and fitted by Vivid Green’s installation team. Other unique features of this build are aluminium joinery, easy-care vinyl flooring, a bespoke aluminium overhang and concrete base foundations due to the nature and placement of the studio.
Going the extra lengths
This multi-functional space was carefully designed to be the perfect match to compliment the client’s swimming pool and outdoor garden space. Vivid Green’s craftsmanship has created a sumptuous outdoor building for the client to relax, work, and play. Not only does it look stunning, but it provides an all-year-round space – whether it’s outdoor swimming weather, or not!
