The client had a requirement to build a garden room as an additional family area, away from the house which could double-up as a fun and stylish entertainment area to entertain family and friends.

By building a spacious garden room, the family would be released from the confines of the house so that they could hold the parties and gatherings all year round!

Designed for entertaining family and friends

When we first met with the client, they provided an initial design to our design team and had very specific needs and design aspirations for a large L-shaped, multi-use garden space.

Our designers expanded on this to create a unique corner glazing that opens on to the decking area. Throwing open the bi-fold doors allows for the maximum amount of light and fresh air. Literally opening up the entire space to allow the outside in.
Part of the L-shape has a built-in storeroom, in addition, the design utilises the space behind the storeroom for a small work area – ideal for a desk and PC workstation.

The design included an overhanging green roof full of life and colour and to be used throughout the year. Green roofs make for a beautiful, sustainable living green roof that offers excellent insulation and reduces the cost of heating and air-conditioning.

The result is, in the summer, the perfect spacious entertainment hub for barbecues with the family, relaxation on long summer days and entertainment for numerous guests.

And, in the winter, the double-glazed doors can be closed to the elements and the heating turned up to create a snug hideaway and games/cinema room!
